Packing a Jacket

One-bag travel means packing can be a challenge, especially with essential but relatively bulky items like a jacket. This video shows how you can fold your jacket into an even, tidy roll to strap to the outside of your backpack in the pack cover. Packing it this way means you can save valuable internal space, have the jacket easily accessible, and keep it clean.

Feeling decidedly hair greasy, smelly, prone to DVTs, and altogether sick of being on a bus for days, Julie and I boarded the worst yet to Salta . There are many ways to immerse yourself in a new language: phrasebooks dictionaries online translators websites podcasts night classes each other Busuu.com :  an interactive site where you are encouraged to connect with other learners and native speakers. The lessons move quickly for absolute novices and a subscription is required to access essential lessons like verbs. Study Spanish :  a well-structured site with lessons that build from the basics. Highly recommended. Johnny Spanish podcast is an excellent resource to learn how to listen and pronounce Spanish sentences. The Spanish Cat :  a Spanish school with schools in Australia as well as Mexico. Classes are available for all levels and at reasonable prices too. I was warned by everything and everyone about safety in Latin America. Websites, guide books, my family, friends, even total strangers would warn me not to trust anyone, to set cab prices before getting in, to watch my luggage at all times, to keep my valuables within sight... all of the sensible things one should do when traveling.
